Data Protection and Access Management for Enterprise Mobile Devices
Organizations can use transport encryption, authentication, access control, audit logs, application policies, and remote wipe functions to reduce data-exposure and unauthorized-operation risks on mobile devices.
Function availability varies by platform, operating-system version, enrollment method, and device status. Technical controls reduce risk but cannot eliminate every data-security or operational risk.
Location and remote-control functions should be used only where device ownership or management authority is established, required notices and authorizations have been completed, and access and retention controls are in place.
